Him my best suggestion is to mix and match. usually most artiest start out copying other styles but after you practice enough and a wide enough range, your own style starts to develop, its no longer a so called "specific" style, its your own, because really humans don't really create ORIGINAL art, its always things taken from what we observe. the only way we can tell the difference between one or the other is just the difference in arrangement of shapes and contour lines etc. but really we all barrow from someone else's style... So to get to the main point is... or what at least I like to do... Is surf around DA or wherever there is people posting art... look threw all the different styles, and find something you like about it, maybe even copy that persons style for a while...(don't post of course) and then revert back to your own style but then try morphing it a bit. do that over time and your style and your skill will evolve. also its good to learn a bit of anatomy, human anatomy is all I learned the hole "furry" component kinda evolved on its own... but I guess I have learned the anatomy of some animals somewhat... but I usually stick to canines and Feline, I just have an issue with other types of animals in the anthropomorphic form. I just cant take some anthro characters seriously. but thats beside the point.
but to judge on your characters (the ones on the page) I think you have the basic beginnings of anthro characters. I started out pretty much like that to be honest. so your on the right track, lets say that. its not going to be the best thing out there of course. but we all gotta start somewhere, no one is perfect from the start...(you know this, don't say I know, I'm just repeating repetitive knowledge XD) when I judge I usually try to look for things that are signs of things that will evolve with practice. and your right on your way. but of course, we all must say this... PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE, and enjoy it... don't swamp yourself, keep in mind of what your capable. and don't stretch yourself over it to much... my best way of seeing improvement is always keeping and referring to my old art. I can always find something I'm a bit better on that I was before. its gradual. but don't worry Life is long, got plenty of time. actually Most artist, don't really start to get to that point that people call "good" in the professional world until they're mid to late 20s, and those are people who practice they're hole lives. there are some that are I guess "TALENTED" but they are far and few between, and I really don't care who they are XD, just believe in yourself, and when your older you will look back and be glad you took it easy before you had a mental burn out XD...
hope this is both informative, and something to kick start some enthusiasm. I try to help ^_^
Well, I'm confused, so your saying "furry" not Sonic style, because you seem to have a firm bit of it on your DA page. so just make sure we are on the same page... because frankly... my style is based pretty much on sonic style... but not everybody catches it.
I would say I try to have an unbiased analysis. so yes if thats what you want. really all and all on another level I would have to say, follow your gut. it will create a more unique style for your art. :3

My theory is that if you're not randomly flipping off stuff and jumping off high ledges, then you're not having fun
